Objects and Java covers the Java language and many APIs as well as topics required for successful use of the language and APIs, especially object-oriented techniques and multi-threading.

It is a work-in-progress tutorial that focuses on how to do object-oriented, multi-threaded design and programming with the Java language. It will assume no prior experience with Java or object- oriented programming.

Upon completing this book, readers will be able to write Java applets and applications, understand object-oriented programming as it applies to Java, understand the strengths and weaknesses of Java, and use the graphical user interface, networking, and RMI facilities of the Java API.
