These notes are used in an introductory course of programming, for students who have little or no experience in programming. Basic programming concepts are covered, from data types to branch and loops. Also included are chapters on files and recursion.

The course uses C++ language, and the notes can be used on their own or to accompany other C++ books.

All code examples are written in ANSI C++ and tested with GNU g++ compiler.
